The Original Town Plan
The Original Town
Plan was formally published in 2005 and setout an Action Plan for the period
2005 until 2015. It was produced by the New Milton Project Officer in
conjunction with the New Milton Town Partnership and followed detailed
consultations with the communities in New Milton, Barton on Sea, Ashley and
Bashley.
The Report was based on the work undertaken by 5 working groups (Environment, Social & Community, Transport & Accessibility, Economy and Young People). Officers from the Hampshire Economic Development Office,Hampshire County Council, the New Forest District Council, Business in the Community as well as New Milton Town Council were closely involved in its preparation.

Late in 2010 it was felt by The New Milton Town Partnership that the Plan needed to be reviewed, to establish what had been achieved, what had failed and what projects needed to be continued and developed. There might also be new requirements which might be raised as a result of Consultation with the residents and businesses in the local community.
It was therefore decided to start a new series of public consultations in late 2010 and during 2011.
The New Milton Town Plan Update 2012
The New Milton Town Plan Update 2012 produced by The New Milton Town Partnership in its draft form has been adopted by The New Milton Town Council as an Appendix to their own Strategic Plan.

The New Milton Town Council Strategic Plan - 2012 to 2014
In 2011, Ne Milton Town Council decided that it needed to have an outline Strategic Town Council Plan for the period 2012 - 2014.
This Plan was formally adopted by the Town Council at the start of 2012.
