COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS

The Arnewood School	Secondary school with Technology College status. The school aims to provide a diversity of teaching and learning styles in a positive environment and encourages a sense of belonging to the school and the local community.
Ashley Baptist Church	Ashley Baptist Church is a modern and family church for all the community. We extend a warm welcome to all and on a Sunday regularly see over 200 people. Sunday services at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm. The Church Office is open Tuesday to Friday between 9 am and 1 pm. Telephone 01425-610415.

Bashley Village Hall	Bashley Village Hall provides excellent facilities. The Hall is used by many local organisations on a regular basis. The Bashley Flower Show and Fete is held annually in July. For Hall bookings please contact Mrs Dawson on 01425-610290.
New Milton & District Citizens Advice Bureau	Located in the Town Hall, Ashley Road. Open Monday to Friday 9:30 to 12:30, and Monday and Tuesday 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Telephone 01425-616064.
Community First, New Forest	Community First, New Forest is an umbrella organisation assisting in the development of strong and diverse local communities and voluntary organisations.
Connexions	Connexions personal advisors work with young people aged 13 - 19 years, assisting them with personal development and personal issues. Office telephone 023-8087-7966. Forest Arts	A multi-purpose arts venue with theatre, live music, exhibitions, literature events and workshops. Telephone 01425-612393.
Friends of New Milton Station	Formed in March 2006, the "Friends" are a group of volunteers who seek the refurbishment and improvement of our local station. The group meets regularly in the Town Hall.
Girl Guides	The Guide Association, as part of a worldwide movement, enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential to take an active and responsible role in society through its distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteer leaders. New Forest Disability Information Service	The NFDIS gives information and advice to people of any age with disabilities, their carers and families on issues which affect them, such as access, transport, holidays, aids and equipment. They can also help with identifying and applying for appropriate state benefits. You can call in at one of their offices, fax, email or telephone our Helpline which is staffed by trained advisors. All information given is confidential, free and available in alternative formats. New Forest Mencap	Provides support and club facilities to adults and children with a learning disability, and their parents and carers. Contact Carole Randall on 01425-621893, or email newforestmencap@lineone.net.
New Forest Nightstop	Are you 16 - 25 and homeless? Nightstop can give you free, emergency accommodation in the homes of our team in the local area - you get a room to yourself and meals provided - but you must first refer yourself through people like Connexions or the Youth Service, the CAB (Town Hall) or your school or college. New Milton and District Community Association	Current events include art, bowls, bridge, canasta, chess, choir, cribbage, many types of dancing, darts, debating, handicrafts, languages, local history, mahjong, poetry, scrabble, whist and numerous social and meeting activities. New Milton & District Rugby Club	Open to children from six years old. Open to adults of all ages. Three senior teams plus vets team. Youth training/games Sunday mornings 10:30 to 12:00. The Rotary Club of New Milton	The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. We are a charity, fundraising for home and abroad, coupled with fellowship and social activities. Our World Wide Motto is Service above Self.
St. John Ambulance New Milton Division	St. John Ambulance New Milton is a voluntary group providing the first aid training and first aid/care services to the local community. The group also offers a full youth programme including camping and outdoor activities. The Division is made up of three groups - Badgers (For children aged 5 - 10yrs old), Cadets (For children aged 10 - 18yrs old) and the Adults (For Youth/Adult members aged over 16yrs old). New Milton and District Twinning Association	New Milton and District Twinning Association are twinned with Canteleu, a suburb of Rouen, Normandy in northern France. We have formed friendships and links with the people of Canteleu and meet once a year in Canteleu or New Milton. You do not need to be able to speak French fluently, though a little does help. The association meets the 1st Wednesday of every month for coffee in the Rydal at 10.30am, and various other social events are organised. We try to arrange one a month. We are forming links with Buchholz, near Hamburg with a view to twinning with them as well. New Milton Youth Centre (Hampshire County Youth Service)	The Youth Centre in Culver Road offers a variety of clubs, projects and activities throughout each week, targeting the age range 14 - 25 years.
